5 destinations for a beach holiday

October 01, 2019

1. Dubai, UAE

In November, the United Arab Emirates sets very comfortable weather, but there is no such influx of tourists as December-January. So this month is great for relaxing: both beach and sightseeing. Among other attractions in Dubai: desert safaris, first-class water parks, skydiving, developed nightlife and even the possibility of skiing or snowboarding. In general, there are plenty of leisure options, as befits a tourist center.

2. Jamaica
Compared to other autumn months in November, Jamaica has relatively dry weather. At the same time, there are still no crowds of Americans who traditionally flood the island in winter. Therefore, a quiet and more budget than in high season, beach vacations are provided. In addition to lying in the Jamaican sand, you can also go on a tour of the local waterfalls, swim along the Black River, awash with crocodiles, and, of course, enjoy the local cuisine and music (Bob Marley’s homeland after all).

3. Maldives
The end of autumn is a transitional period for the Maldives: officially, the rainy season is still ongoing, but in fact there are not so many. Translated, this means reduced prices for a paradise holiday. Most of the precipitation at this time falls in the center of the archipelago, less in the north. In addition, it is worth considering that it is better to surf on the Addu Atoll: there is the strongest wind. The rest of the rest in different parts of the archipelago is not very different. Beautiful beaches and water activities like diving and snorkeling are everywhere.

4. Phuket, Thailand
You can go to Thailand, loved by downshifters, starting in November, when the rainy season ends. And if in some parts of the country they can still be disturbed, then the risk of getting wet in Phuket is minimal. Of the advantages of this situation: you can relax cheaper than usual, especially in the first half of the month. What else awaits you: a warm and clear sea, nightlife and attractions, mainly temples and parks. But the island is big, there is something to see.
5. Andaman Islands, India
For lovers of more secluded relaxation, the Andaman Islands are perfect. On them, as on the entire Indian coast, in November comfortable conditions for relaxation are established. And if you arrive in the middle of the month, then you can definitely find the perfect weather and attractive prices. Of the other advantages of the islands: beautiful sandy beaches and the main local fun - swimming with elephants.

October 01, 2019
Where to go abroad in December 2019 to have a good rest at sea?
Where at this time is the most comfortable weather and warm sea?
We talk about the best destinations for a beach holiday! However, while cold reigns in one part of the globe, the beach season is in full swing in the other. We recommend destinations for a beach holiday abroad in December 2019.
Thailand Weather.
Thailand is the ideal destination for a beach holiday in December 2019. It is dry and clear, air temperature + 32 ° C during the day, + 20 ° C at night, water in the sea + 23 ° C. The exception is Samui, at the beginning of winter there can be heavy rains.

Things to do. Take a trip to Bangkok - there are impressive temples and palaces. Visit the Aquarium, Elephant Village, tropical garden and orchid park in Pattaya, as well as the ancient city of Ayutthaya. Take an excursion to the paradise islands: Phi Phi, James Bond, Bon, Rank Yai.

In December, the best conditions for a beach holiday in the south of Vietnam are: on the island of Phu Quoc + 30 ° С, water temperature + 27 ° С, and in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne + 33 ° С, water + 25 ° С. In Nha Trang, during the daytime it is about + 27 ° C, but sometimes it rains and the sea is worried (however, this does not interfere with the rest).

Where is better. In December, it is better to relax on the sea on the islands of FUKUOK and Kondao - white sand beaches are ideal for passive relaxation. Comfortable in NYACHANG - the infrastructure is very developed there.

Things to do. In Fukuoka, go in for diving and snorkeling - there it is inexpensive. In MUINE - kiting and windsurfing. In Nha Trang, visit Winperl, the island of attractions and take excursions.

REST IN OCTOBER

August 31, 2019

It’s rare that someone for their long-awaited vacation of their own free will choose a rainy October - everyone is trying to grab the spring and summer months. But on the other hand, it is not always possible to retire when you want it. More often, circumstances dictate us their own rules. October means October. It is drizzling on the street, underfoot - a mess of fallen leaves and dirt, even warm clothes cannot save from the piercing wind, but in a bag ... a ticket. Ticket in the summer. And this is a striking difference between what is and where you will soon be - the very bonus that people who fly from one summer to another are deprived.

In October, everyone walks: those who study in trimesters, and schoolchildren with a program divided into quarters. The former have a well-deserved week of vacation at the beginning of the month, which means that you can catch the velvet season in one of the beach resorts in the world. Well, others go to rest at the end of the month, so it will be difficult to come up with something better than a sightseeing trip at this time of the year.

The sunniest, most cheerful and fertile region of the Old World, Southern Europe, seems to have been created by the Creator exclusively for the tireless enjoyment of life. On its open spaces absolutely everything that soul and body needs to be harmoniously combined: a wonderful climate, warm sea and wonderful beaches - for any color and texture: pebble, white sand, rocky, delicious, and most importantly, healthy cuisine, on whose ingredients they find healthy glow
even slender young ladies, a variety of wines (also for every color and taste), finally - an impressive number of attractions and cultural objects, as well as (where without it!) exciting and, importantly, high-quality shopping. In a word, there would be a desire - any can be embodied in Southern Europe.
These are the states located on the Iberian and Apennine peninsulas: Portugal, Spain, Andorra and Italy, the Vatican, San Marino, respectively, plus the neighboring owners of their own access to the sea expanses of Monaco and Greece, the blessed Mediterranean islands of Malta and Cyprus and the countries of the Balkan Peninsula : Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Macedonia, etc.

Tunis Travel Guide

August 05, 2019

Tunisia is one of the countries where the oriental flavor is in harmony with the European approach to tourism services. You will have no problems here with hotels or roads, and thalassotherapy in Tunisia is one of the best in the world.
At the same time you can see the golden sands of the Sahara, wander among the picturesque ruins, take a break in the green of oases and swim in the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea. During your stay, you will surely have time to try out a lot of what Tunisia has to offer its guests. And we are sure that you will be satisfied.
Tunisia
Tunisia

Tunisia is an ancient country. Its history is over three thousand years, and over the years a lot has happened here. The main sights of Tunisia, picturesque ruins scattered throughout the country, keep the memory of past times. If you like to immerse yourself in history and feel the depth of the centuries, touching the stones and getting acquainted with the old buildings, Tunisia will not disappoint you. Tunisia is not such a popular holiday destination among domestic travelers as Egypt. But the speed with which she "steps on the heels" of the usual African direction for the sale of tours, promises to soon rectify the situation. Despite the relatively small size of Tunisia, it has everything for a varied holiday. Access to the Mediterranean Sea provided the country with excellent beaches. Moreover, the best hotels located on the coastline, for the most part, offer packages including thalassotherapy.

Fans of active pastime can not only head off into water sports, but also go inland. It offers sightseeing tours of the Roman ruins and always with a visit to the ancient city of Carthage. Those interested can also go on a desert tour with a visit to indigenous settlements.

Travel to Madrid by yourself

August 04, 2019

After the autumn trip to Greece, my husband and I were left with annual Schengen visas and it would be unforgivable to not take advantage of such happiness. The main question is where to go? We in Europe have been to many places and now we are thinking about whether there is such a place where we would like to go again so that it would be interesting to walk and see something new. Thought thought and decided that we would go to Madrid. For the November holidays. Of course, on the agenda was the question of how to travel, through TA or independently. Long searches in the internet travel agencies that would offer a trip only to Madrid did not lead to success. As a rule, such tours were combined, i.e. with a mandatory visit to other countries and cities that we did not fit. In addition, a trip for 5 days did not offer almost any travel agent. There were offers for only five days for Madrid, but at a cost it exceeded our budget several times. Here it is worth paying attention to such a moment that traveling to Madrid on your own without the help of maintenance requires more thorough preparation. It is necessary to draw up a route, choose a hotel so that it is within easy reach of the historical center and the most important attractions. To do this, my husband and I spent a single evening at a laptop. Yes, this is painstaking work, but it's worth it, we chose exactly what we really wanted to see, and not what is included in the standard set of typical excursions with an accompanying guide.

In addition, we have already seen all such attractions on an extreme trip to Madrid with a guided tour and guide. All this applies to nutrition. We had lunch and dinner exactly where we wanted, and not where the guide usually leads his group, namely, to lured places. True, the travel time was almost a day, but we were not afraid of it, having been forced, there was a chance to meet Düsseldorf, we were not in this city yet. By the way, they arrived without delay, and also flew on time.
About nutrition. Then as you like. We, for example, had breakfast at the hotel. The breakfasts are very satisfying and did not feel like eating before lunch. And they dined in cafes or restaurants that were found by chance. We had dinner either in the room, having bought groceries in the supermarket, or in tapas bars (bar de tapas). At the same time, and local wine could try. We had no problems with food. Especially leaned on the jamon, which they sat down on the last trip and which in Russia seems to be no more. Arrived at Barajas Airport. This is a huge hall and to get to the right place, you need to stomp and stomp along the vast expanses of the air terminal. Enough time is required to get from the arrivals hall to the baggage claim area. The city from the Barajas airport is most convenient to travel by train in thirty minutes, which arrives at Atocha station. By the way, the station is amazing. It is not even a station, but a tropical greenhouse.

From the station to the hotel we arrived by taxi. In Madrid, it is very convenient to use a taxi, it’s enough to give up a passing car. But to find a taxi at the station, you need to go to a special parking lot, where all the free cars live. These are cars of white color with a red stripe on the door. We sit in the car, show a piece of paper with the address and go. First of all, we read reviews on the Internet that have already been to Madrid and select the places that have interested us. It turns out that we were almost never. Then we are determined by the map of Yandex, where everything planned is located and which transport is most convenient to get to. To do this, use the route plotter on the same Yandex map. If something is not clear, we do printouts from the map. Madrid is not an ordinary city, in it you do not feel like a tourist, as if you have always lived here. Why is that? There is no exact answer, you need to feel it, and for this you need to stay in Madrid for at least 3-4 days, go through the streets, preferably not on tourist ones.

WHERE TO GO TO RELAX IN SUMMER?

July 31, 2019

Favorite time of the year, absolutely every tourist is summer. After all, we are provided with huge opportunities in choosing countries for rest. If we just want to lie on the beach with all-inclusive meals, then we will be met by such countries as: Turkey, Tunisia, Bulgaria. To combine a beach holiday with excursion programs, then I recommend Georgia, Greece, Spain, Montenegro and Cyprus. Now we will tell about each country separately, but this does not mean that only in these parts you can fly to relax in the summer, we simply advise the most beloved and popular, and the choice is always yours.
Turkey
Probably there are no such tourists left who were not in the summer in this country. Turkey replaced the Southern Coast of Crimea, so it became a favorite for everyone. The flight program starts from April, but the sea warms up in May, so be careful if you plan to have a rest with children at such an early period. On seasonality, from May to October, the air temperature warms up to 35 ° C, and the water temperature can warm up to 26 ° C. Small tips on choosing a region for your summer vacation. Family holidays, with beautiful sandy beaches, smooth sunset, about an hour drive from the airport and large areas of hotels, we recommend to spend in Side.
For active tourists, we offer Kemer and Alanya, in the first city - more green territory, mountains and pebble beaches, in the second - sandy beaches and more hilly terrain. For a high level of rest we offer to go to Belek. Also, do not forget about the Aegean coast with incredibly beautiful nature.
At a cost, especially for early booking, you can buy a tour for two from $ 450.
Undiscovered Tunisia
For me personally, Tunisia was just a discovery. Beautiful sandy beaches, with huge hotels in an unusual style, very good food. But, this country is famous for its amazing thalassotherapy and incredible history, and excursion programs. And of course, the world famous Sahara desert. Resorts for rest in the summer: Hammamet, Monastir, Sousse, Mahdia. Do not forget about the island of Djerba - which is the largest island off the coast of North Africa. The temperature in season, from May to October will be up to 30 ° C, the sea warms up to 26 ° C. You can book Tunisia in advance for $ 600 for two.

The Estate Havighorst

May 06, 2019
The estate Havighorst located in the municipality of Meppel, Drenthe. It is located on the North shore of the river registry for errors and is now used as a hotel. The first mention of the manor appeared in 1371, then it belonged to the family cluster van Denov.

In the XVII century Havighorst inherited the family van Munster. The building was sold to the municipality in 1963, then it was converted into a nursing home. Later, the purpose of the estate has changed several times, but in 1982, with the support of the Creative Association of Drenthe, the building was restored, he returned to the original look and opened a hotel here.

Estates made in classic Baroque style, it has 3 floors: on the ground is a huge hall and a kitchen on the second were the bedrooms of the owners, and the third is a spacious loft. The entrance to the building is decorated on both sides by three-meter pillars and an arch.

Adventure Travel - Desert Island Ecreus

May 06, 2019

A visit to the Channel Islands is always fraught with interesting adventures. Whatever time of the year you come here - there is always something to look at. You can enjoy seascapes, explore ancient castles and other sights, or you can just enjoy quiet walks along the seashore. In addition to the island of Jersey, you can visit the neighboring Guernsey or go on an exciting journey to the uninhabited islands of Acreus, located next door.
These islands are located to the northeast of Jersey, and for a long time were a disputed territory, because they are only 12 km from the coast of France. In the 50s of the 20th century it was finally decided that the islands are still under the auspices of England. Nevertheless, the French continue to engage in fishing in the waters of the islands, and they themselves would not mind spending some pleasant hours there.
Ecreus has no fresh water, and there have never been residential settlements here. The island is surrounded by fossil reefs of various sizes. The length of the island is 300 meters. Untouched nature, complete unity with which will appeal to any traveler. Excursion to Ecreus will last half a day. During this time, the Russian-speaking guide will be happy to tell you about the features of flora and fauna, show the most picturesque landscapes. If you are an avid fisherman or just like to watch the process, then you can safely plan such a trip - here fishing is one of the main activities.

The amazingly clear water near the island allows you to see the seabed and its inhabitants in great detail.
This day will be a real decoration of your holiday. You can get here on a small boat. You will never regret
the time spent for a second, so feel free to go to Acreus!

Budget vacation in Europe: cheap countries for travel. Prices for housing, food, transportation

March 31, 2019

It may surprise someone, but to rest in the West for a fairly low price is quite real, the main thing is to know where to go. Slovakia, the Czech Republic or Hungary - these are the budget countries in Europe for travel, which should be paid attention to travelers who want to save money. So, in Germany, France, Austria and England prices will be much higher and, accordingly, the rest in these countries will cost more. A great advantage is that, resting, for example, in the Czech Republic, it is possible for a small amount to travel by train or bus to another neighboring country and spend there some part of the holiday, and this will be the most exciting and at the same time budget independent euro-trip.

Albania
This is the first country located in the southern part of the continent, opening the list of European countries with the cheapest tourism. The coast of the Ionian and Adriatic seas has many beautiful beaches where you can relax cheaply and comfortably. This is usually sought by tourists looking for the best place for an inexpensive family vacation. You can spend a day at a local hostel for at least $ 10.
In a double room at the hotel a night will cost $ 30.
The statement that you will find the most inexpensive holiday in Europe in Albania, actually due to the low prices for food and alcoholic beverages:
Dine in a cafe here can be an average of $ 5, and in a restaurant - twice as expensive. Tequila here costs 15 dollars. A pack of cigarettes 1.2 dollars.

Albania has a number of exciting natural objects that attract the traveler's attention - rocky peaks and picturesque mountains, overgrown with dense forest, beautiful beaches under the warm Mediterranean sun and the azure-blue waters of the Adriatic.
Citizens of the EU, Australia, USA, Canada and several other countries do not need a visa. You can get a visa both at the consular section of the embassy and at border crossings by paying the price equivalent of the visa price for Albanians to your country (or $ 30- $ 75 depending on the length of stay in the country).

Malta island attractions

February 26, 2019
Malta island
Many people ask what can be seen and what to do in Malta, because usually knowledge about this
country is not as great as about other European countries. And this is understandable. Honestly,
there is no such thing as “the best route to Malta” - on this small island you can easily see and
implement everything that was planned. So, if you want to spend a weekend in Malta or are planning
a longer stay in Malta for 5 days, 7 days or more, there are many opportunities for cheap holidays
in Malta if you know where to look for them and how to plan your pastime. All the necessary
information you can learn from just one article! Here is our guide to help you get your perfect
Malta route.
Before we dive, the country of Malta actually consists of three islands: the main island of Malta, which is the largest, smallest island of Gozo in the north-west, to which you can take a ferry, and the smallest island of Comino in between Malta and Gozo (also available for visiting only by boat). Driving a car - you can get from the southernmost edge of the main island from where the ferry
leaves for Gozo, to the north-west in about an hour. This is the entire length of the main island.
One hour!
However, the whole
island is very easy to get around. Many places and attractions can be visited
in half a day or even in a day from anywhere in the island, depending on where
you are staying. Many attractions are available from the so-called “central
points” - Valletta and Slim. A walk through these cities will allow you to see
the entire capital and visit the most populated part of Malta if you do not
have a lot of time. If you are just planning
to spend up to 2-3 days on the island and only in Valletta or Sliema, you will
not need a car, since you can safely move around the city on foot or take a
taxi in case of emergency. By taxi to the airport you can get at a fixed rate,
and in fact it will be all your needs in the car. See below the section
“Official and private taxis”.
Ah, these buses are in Malta. If you were here before, you probably also smiled. If you didn’t know yet - the bus is a great, cheap way to drive around the whole island. BUT - this, at least, will also be a test for you. We mean that, although new buses are absolutely safe, you will often be amazed at the speed they develop and the constantly evolving situations along the route and sudden braking, and most interestingly, for some reason they DO NOT get into accidents.
If you plan to travel to Malta, you will need a place to stay. Although this article is more focused on “what to see and do”, we thought it would be useful to also provide you with the necessary information about booking a home. The suggested routes below also include hotels and hostels, so some of them will be useful for you too! To search for budget hotels and hostels, we recommend using our search for budget accommodation.
Hotels in Malta you can see here - bookingbuddy.
If you are not interested in a beach holiday, skip Golden Bay and go straight to the medieval city of Mdina. We will look at each of the above places in a little more detail and tell you what you can see and do there! Let's start with the capital of Malta, beautiful Valletta.

travel to bavaria

February 26, 2019
travel to bavaria
How to plan a trip to Bavaria by yourself?
One of the most popular destinations for tourists traveling in Germany is Bavaria. This is not surprising, because it is here that you can observe not only the famous castles of Bavaria all over the world, not only beautiful alpine meadows and real “Alpine cows”, as if from the Milka ad, but also just beautiful mountain landscapes and other beauties, like descended from the picture guide. However, Bavaria is practically an independent world and at first glance it may seem that you can
conquer it only by purchasing a tour of the castles of Bavaria. However, this is not the case - a little
desire and time will help you plan your dream trip.
Castles of Bavaria

For travelers who have decided to conquer the magic of Bavaria, I want to give some tips:
- firstly, if your main goal is Bavaria, then select Munich as your destination (arrival).
Personally, I did it differently, and bought a ticket to Berlin. I can not say that I regretted this afterwards - after all, my goal was to get acquainted not only with Bavaria, but with Germany as a whole. That is why in my route there was also a place for Berlin, as well as Potsdam and Dresden. However, such a route is physically difficult. That is why I would recommend starting your journey around Bavaria from the arrival in Munich: you will spend less time on the road and you will have more time to explore Bavaria.
Of course, you can purchase an excursion tour "Castles of Bavaria". This will deprive you of the need to book a car and develop a route for visits However, in my opinion, booking a car is much more convenient and economical.
The only thing I insist on is very strong - do not travel around Bavaria by public transport. Do not be surprised, nobody canceled the possibility of traveling by regular buses! However, the impressions will still be not the same, and you will spend a lot of time on travels. The price of this card for 2015 is 45 euros for one visitor, and for two (the so-called “family ticket”) - only 65 euros. As I have already explained, the validity of this card is 14 days from the date of the first visit to one of the landmarks from the list.
You can purchase this
card at the checkout of any of the castles that you can visit on it. Please
note that this map does not apply to all the castles and sights of Bavaria. In
addition, if you are staying initially in Munich, then it will be more
convenient to purchase a ticket right here - the map also applies to many of
the attractions of Munich.
So, after you have decided on the place and time of your
stay, you should immediately accept the fact that if you go to Germany not for
half a year, but only for a short holiday, you will not be able to see the
whole Bavaria. Therefore, you have to make a choice: which of the castles to
inspect, and which ones can be left until the next trip. And also it is
necessary to make a specific trip route.
For myself, I
determined the following plan for visiting Bavaria:

- Munich (in spite of the fact that we flew to Berlin, we
could not not see this beautiful city. That is why we set aside a couple of
days to get to know Munich). In addition, one of the evenings in Munich, we
dedicated to visiting this football game with the participation of the world
famous club "Bavaria".

Munich is a very special city, for inspection which is not enough
a couple of days. We also managed to visit Oktoberfest, so there was very
little time left for sightseeing. The
village of Oberammergau is famous for a completely unusual painting of houses -
the artist Franz Seraph Zwink, who was born here, laid the foundation for a
special direction of painting. These were religious frescoes, the first of
which he painted on the facade of his own house. However, they were also liked
by another villager, and orders soon fell on the young man.
In Bavaria, Oberammergau is not the only village where houses of this style have
survived. However, here they are the most. By the way, when you arrive here, get
ready to empty your wallet - in the village there are a lot of craftsmen selling
wooden souvenirs. In addition, there are wonderful shops of Christmas toys.
The two most famous Bavarian castles in Germany. In my opinion, the first of
them owes its popularity not only to its beauty and grandeur, but also ... to the f
amous screensaver with the image of the castle, which begins the cartoons
produced by Disney Studio.
Yes, it is this Bavarian castle that became the prototype of the Sleeping Beauty Palace, painted in Disneyland Paris. Of course, to visit this pearl of Germany is, I would advise to spend the night in one of the hotels near the castle. Believe me, the breakfast overlooking Noshvshanshtayn will be remembered for all your life.
It is easiest to combine his visit with a tour of the castle of Heuschwangau, which is within walking distance of the first. Heuschwangau is not as famous and more restrained than Neuschwanstein, but in the evening in the light of the lights it looks no less majestic. Yes, and the decoration of the halls is very interesting. This is only a small tour of the castles of Bavaria, designed for 5-6 days. In fact, there are much more objects here, but it takes much longer to study them. Build your individual route through the castles of Bavaria based on your budget and personal interests. I hope that small recommendations from me will help you with this.

Independent trip to Vienna

February 16, 2019

Vienna is a beautiful European city with a rich history. The mild climate, developed infrastructure, a huge number of attractions attracts a huge number of travelers from around the world. It is a pleasure to relax here, as evidenced by at least the fact that Vienna is recognized as the best place in the world for quality of life. And this article is just devoted to how to go on an independent trip to Vienna to fully enjoy the magnificence of this city.
Vienna

Organizing a trip to Vienna alone is quite simple. This can be done in a few hours, but it is better to approach planning more thoroughly and spend a little more time on it, read reviews about interesting places, compare hotels, find out which area is better to stay and the like. This article is entirely devoted to the topic of travel, this information is enough to go to Vienna at least tomorrow. And so, to specific actions to rest without the help of travel agencies.
Housing
It is cheaper to book a hotel not in the central areas of the city. Since Vienna's transport network is well developed, you can get to any place very quickly and fairly cheaply, especially if you buy a travel card.
sights
The correct solution would be to purchase a guide to Vienna. With it you will be better able to navigate in the city and will be able to quickly understand what a particular place or object means, and you will always know what to see and where to go. In general, do not spend money on a guide, it will definitely come in handy.
Renting a car in order to go to the suburbs of Vienna and in different parts of Austria, in order to see even more interesting places - this is a great solution. If the budget of the trip allows you to rent a car, then do it, there will be much more vivid impressions.
It’s worth taking the euro and a bank card on an independent trip to Vienna. And it does not matter much in what currency the card account is opened, when paying for purchases the amount is automatically converted into the necessary currency.
Be careful when withdrawing money from an ATM on the street. Although Austria is one of the safest countries in the world, there are even thieves there (mostly people from non-EU countries).
The cost of independent travel to Vienna depends only on the travelers themselves. Goals, priorities, opportunities, style of rest, dates of beginning and end of holidays - all this affects the price of the trip.
If, however, money is not very much, then thanks to the course of 7 steps to travel, you can cut costs several times, only you need to understand that the less money is spent on rest, the less comfortable it will be. Although it all depends on the person and his vital attitude, it will be more comfortable for someone to travel around the world, living in mediocre hotels, preparing meals on their own and saving on much more than sitting all day in a stuffy office in their homeland. But still budget rest is real.
Independent travel through Vienna can be inexpensive. Tips and recommendations written in this section will help save up to 70% of the money, the only thing you need to do is decide where to draw that line, after which savings will damage rest, because someone will be in a bad mood if they live in the cheapest hotel and eat fast food. But even without such extreme measures, you can significantly save money without losing your level of comfort.

Trip to mongolia

February 15, 2019

Few travelers visit Mongolia, and those who visit call it one of the most impressive countries they have ever seen. This was the first reason I went to this country. The second - in June, there was held the “House for All”: the project of the Academy of Free Travels, which is periodically organized in different countries of the world. In this house any traveler can live for free. I was attracted by the opportunity to talk with different travelers and learn something new from them.
Mongolia

Russian travelers and tourists do not particularly indulge Mongolia. I met with those who lived near the border with the birthplace of Genghis Khan, but had never been there. And in vain! A wanderer will have something to see in this country, and the bonus will be that the majority of the population speaks Russian (many in conversation with me called Mongolia the 16th USSR Republic).
They use those tugriks as currency. The banknotes depict the founder of the Mongol Empire - the great Genghis Khan. In general, with his name or image you will meet all the time in Mongolia - in the names of hotels, shops, beer and various dishes. The Mongols are still very much loved and honored by Genghis Khan.
Most of the hotels in Mongolia are concentrated in the capital, Ulaanbaatar, where you can find accommodation for every taste and budget. So, the cheapest hostel will cost from € 3, and the “presidential suite” in the hotel “Ulaanbaatar” will cost € 500. In general, the country’s couchsurfing is also worth looking for only in Ulaanbaatar. True, they can try to sell you a tour around the country through couchsurfing - either to the desert or to real nomads, do not agree. I personally received many such requests (I even remembered Morocco, where there was exactly the same situation with couchsurfing), but ordinary Mongols also wrote, who happily invited me to their home.
You cannot write a lot about transport in Mongolia, simply because it is missing. You can get around the city and for short distances with the help of buses, but if you want to go to the Gobi Desert or to some other interesting cities, then the only option is a car (either hitchhiking or rent).
In my opinion, hitchhiking in Mongolia is beautiful, people pick up very willingly. But here you will have to face three difficulties at once - sometimes these same wonderful people will ask you for money, the second - in parts of the distant parts of Ulan Bator, traffic is much less busy. Once I even had to wait one car for two hours. The third difficulty is that in some parts of Mongolia there are no roads at all.
Gorkhi-Terelj National Park
We spent a little bit in the city and that's enough, it's time to go to nature! Good in Mongolia, only one nature is, as well as many national parks. You can get to Gorkhi-Terelzh by bus, which will cost a little less than a euro, take about two hours.
The park is very beautiful: camels themselves graze between the mountains, and some even offer to ride them. The most famous park brought rocks of extraordinary shape, created by nature. Also inside the park is a Buddhist temple Aryabal, where you should definitely look! This is a place of power, a place where the soul and body rest. During the ascent to the temple you will have to overcome 100 white and 8 black steps, at this time you will be surrounded by wooden tablets on which Buddhist wisdom is written.
Elsen-Tasarkhay National Park

If you, like me, do not want to spend a lot of time and money to visit the Gobi, go to the park of Elsen-Tasharhai, where you can see a piece of the desert. It takes about four hours to get from Ulan Bator here, and public transport does not go here, so you have two options: hitchhiking or renting a car. Huge dunes and whistling wind - this is what will allow you to feel yourself in the real desert. At night, the stars here shine brightly as ever. To see it all, take a tent with you, or beg for a night to the local nomads.
